That's exactly right! The chorus is awesome, but the verse sucks and you can't understand shit of what he says. I listen to the song anyways, the awesome chorus just brings me back to it. |

Actually that's not bad. Not sure if a buy that's what he actually meant, especially since the lyrics can barely be understood; but it makes sense. |

The best angry rant against consumerism, big corporations, the search of the "american dream", and general stupidity. Just listening to it gets me pissed in a good way. The Moj is all about freedom. |

This song introduced me to this piece of pure awesome in human form. |

First of all, I'll admit it could as well be just about some obscure horror flick no one will ever see.But I just sort of connect emotionally to this song, and I sort of choose to feel the same way quite a few people do about it. It's a love song (that contains the words "rape your face", ain't that funny?) about a girl who's got a fucked up past and a whole bunch of issues. And in a demonstration of love and empathy the guy just plunges into the dark with her, "If you wanna scream, scream with me". And the fact that she's so vulnerable and fucked up has made her hide and shut down from most people. And when she cries she shows her real feelings, but for the most part she stays in the dark.
Again, it could be just a bad horror flick. I just like my interpretation. |

I think yes, he uses gay in the "homosexual" sense, but I don't see where he's making fun of them. I think it's like a lighthearted pro gay song. I might be wrong, but I don't see how. |

I always liked this song. That whole album is pretty dark, I don't like it much, but it has a few really nice dark songs. This is one.
Like the little solo at the beginning, and even more when it comes up again in the middle accompanied by the bass drum.
But the lyrics. I came here to see if someone had some clear explanation for it, but since there isn't any, I had to actually try to come up with one myself, and I winded up liking it: the song is Death trying to explaining someone that their presence isn't a bad thing, and to protect that person from whatever dangers of the journey to "the other side".
Or something. I don't know. It's a long shot, since this is the band that solemly declared "I don't wanna go down to the basement, there's something down there!" and "Beat on the brat with the baseball bat, Oh Yeah!".
But it does seem to make sense reading the lyrics and tone of the song. |

Doesn't "And a letter in your writing doesn't mean you're not dead" imply suicide? |

The song is pretty self-explainatory. But what does he mean by
But I see an old lady with a shopping bag
And I wonder is life a drag
