From what i've thought the songs are like a story. In the first song a girl is abused until she's 6 and then the song end. And then Vices is the resume to the song before, it starts with a girl that's and 8 and get ignored by her mom. Then her mom realizes she's gone and she sell herself it seems because the one she did it with then lift up he's phone and it says Wife on the display and its not the mom on the display so it can't be her dad getting that.
The next time she's shows up she's about 15. Then she walk to her dad and hes a alcoholic and drunk and start pushing her and hit her. Then it looks like he unzip his pants and start holding her but she run away. He was probably going to rape her because the lyrics say "I'm not coming home to you i won't sleep with the devil" wich should show that she was about to get raped and has been before, probably since she was a kid. |

That's a good meaning but from what I've seen he sing about a girl that had an alcoholic dad and a mom that didn't care about her and she was raped as a kid. In the music video of Vices you can see that it starts out when shes quite young and then the mom and dad are separated. Then it shows that the mom is selling herself and shes out and then the next part it starts out with her dad drinking beer and shes home, and then he starts pushing her and hit her and in a short clip in he unzip hes pants but she pushes him away and run away and then shes older. Then the lyrics is about someone going out and need to cope with some disaster and that is probably abuse. |
