| Alter Bridge – Still Remains Lyrics | 12 years ago |

I think this is from the point of view of God. Myles Kennedy has stated that ABIII is a loose concept-album about a character who has come to realize that everything he thought was absolute truth might not be. I think that's a reference to Kennedy's religious upbringing. In this song, I believe he is writing from the point of view of God, and what God has to say about this character's sudden lack of faith. I'm not religious, by the way. And to be honest, up until I really sat down and thought about it in the context of the album's concept, I always equated this song to being about a relationship with someone who you have the best intentions for, but they turn and walk away from you regardless. |

This song is probably one of the more experimental things they've done. And I love it. I hope to see more of this kind of stuff on the next record. Alter Bridge forever! |

| Alter Bridge – Slip To The Void Lyrics | 13 years ago |

I would most definitely have to agree. Slip to the Void has an almost angry vibe to it. Anger at someone who has hurt you? Isolation furthers that and adds a sense of hope that things can change, particularly during that bridge after the guitar solo. Ghost of Days Gone By seems to be somewhere down the line with an individual looking back on the good times and wishing to revisit them. And All Hope is Gone is the realization that that can never happen. Just my two cents. Neat little concept if that's all true. |

| The Mayfield Four – Sick and Wrong Lyrics | 13 years ago |

Can't believe no one has commented on this yet. The song is obviously about sex. It seems like it's about someone who was seen as being...pure (?) in terms of their love-life...not "fucking around" with other people. But something happened that changed their viewpoint on it, and now they want to go out and be promiscuous. I dunno. That's kinda what I'm seeing in the lyrics. Great song. The Mayfield Four were very underrated. But I'm glad that things happened the way they did because we have Alter Bridge now. |
