Specifically, the lover (narrator) not only wants to hear the words but to see (feel) that the beloved loves him just as much as he loves her--so that they may satisfy "the love that's yearning for [each other] in their hearts." |

The title of the song really explains the song. I like this song because it's simple yet romantic. The narrator didn't expect to fall for the lady. And so, he wants to know if she feels the same about him. And his feelings for her are confirmed by the way she looks at him. Not her words but her eyes confirm that she loves him: "forever in [her] your eyes." |
