Not every song is about love for someone of the opposite sex. If everybody would actually takes the time to listen and analyse the lyrics with an open-mind, I think we would all conclude it's about something like this: He's talking to a girlfriend about his life. He's reflecting on past memories (stories, cigarettes, other girls he's been with and hurt before). Sounds like she is reading him a meaningful letter, possibly about the way she feels, maybe even wanting to breakup. But the song isn't about love directly, it's about him reflecting on LIFE in general. Like he's living his days in prison, everything seems strange, and he's wondering how come he hasn't found his purpose yet "it's got me outta my head |
