Rammstein – Mein Herz Brennt Lyrics 13 years ago
Hi. I would just like to weigh in with what this song means to me.
It is most likely not what Rammstein originally intended, but this song has a very specific meaning for me.

To me the song is about the theft of male emotions. The first two paragraphs are him reflecting on his childhood, as the people around him pretty much desensitised him to the world. The ripping out of the heart is a metaphore for his apparent inability to show emotion. They ripped his heart out at an early age to harden him. His disembodied heart gives him the power to suppress his eyelids. Literally to prevent his own tears.
And he has to wait until the day he is so overcome with sadness for the right to shout that his heart is burning.

The first verse talks about demons and other foul creatures coming to him in the night. This could mean two things. One, it could be the evil people (demons) coming to him when he is most vulnerable to remove his heart. Two, it could be that his pent up emotions come to him in the night and try to break him. They creep out of the celler. As in the celler of his mind where he puts all his sadness. The bedding and pillow is a metaphor for his natural emotional being, which is still there. This voice is coming to the children from the pillow, a soft, comforting object. But the demons are coming to look under his bedding.

The second verse is quite simple. They come to you when you are vulnerable, and take away your tears.
Now that he is cold to the world, he perpetuates what has happened to him. He takes the tears away to warm his own cold veins. It's basically like any form of abuse, if you were abused you are more likely to comit abuse.

Basically, this is my interpretation of the song. To me the words fit perfectly to how I feel sometimes. Like all I want to do is cry but I can't.
