Thank you for these lyrics and the excellent explanations of them, really helped pull the entire story together for me. I am curious as to where you came up with the meanings though, do you have access to the coffee table book or something of that nature?

Coheed and Cambria – Key Entity Extraction I: Domino the Destitute Lyrics 13 years ago
This song is a great example of what I love about this new album. On one level, it fits into the overall ongoing story of these two records, which kind of serve as a sort of background story for the world of Heaven's Fence and the Keywork, but on another it is clearly a personal story that Claudio is telling about the band's ex-bassist Mic Todd. (That part's according to Claudio himself in a recent interview.)

The "Key Entity Extraction" songs in general seem to be about these people (or maybe ghosts of people?) that Sirius Amory encounters while discovering the Keywork. Domino appears to be a boxer taken in by the dark side of the sport and manipulated into a life of crime and eventually dying because of it. That story is of course analogous to Mic Todd's own, if his recent arrest is any indication. I think it's awesome that Claudio is able to write such a personal song that also fits in with the high concept of the band's music...even if it's perhaps a bit heavy handed.
