I'm not sure if she covered it or not... But actually what do Bonnie Tyler and Meatloaf have in common? Answer: They were both produced by Jim Steinman, who coincidentally wrote this song... So in that sense it is not a "Meatloaf song" but a "Steinman song" |

One other person here nailed it. There isn't some woman who left him and a new girl. They are the same person. When she "left" him before she essentially turned cold because she thought she couldn't love him. Now she has changed her mind, but it is too late. He can't love her now because the fire that was once there is gone. She is a different person now, and the one he loved no longer exists (despite being the same physical person...) |
