I think its about his feelings towards an ex girlfriend. Like first he talks about how fucked up it was the way they got together. Like he was never really interested in her, never really wanted her but she was persistent, and when they would go out together he wasn't trying to stay with her. He felt bad about not wanting to fuck her but she invited herself out with him. And even though he treats her like shit she still gives it to him The chorus alludes to the future, I think it hints at her suicide or demise where the city is probably representative of drugs, an OD of some sort which is what the next part is saying, she is her own killer she digs herself into a deep hole by probz being crazy or just lying about whats going on in her life and he breaks up with her ("my ghost inside you soon will be") as in he sees how unstable he is and stops having sex with her cause he doesnt want her to get any crazier or any more into drugs since he isnt in love with her she gets into a haze of drugs and just fucking and thats the repetitiveness of the bridge mimicking the monotony of bad that is her life the end is just describing her lifestyle getting hte best of her being the reason she dies... either that ORRR this song is the perspective of some drug probably meth that ultimately takes the life of the girl. She wants to see the city under the influence of this drug and it first its good but the drug knows that its killing her. Idk if you listen to it with this in mind and as a personification of drugs itll really make sense |

| It's titled she wants because the "she" is a little ho or maybe his girlfriend hes annoyed with and in this song she is trying to seduce the singer. She is really drunk and he's down but she just over did it, and he knows it would be wrong, and he's not down for date rape. So he's asserting his authority by rejecting her advances and taking care of her drunk ass, and letting her sleep in his bed, but he's staying up 'by reading light' as in he's not touching her at all, but he has left her water and is just waiting for her to wake up so she can either leave or they can do it fo realize. But for now he's given up hope of 'getting tired' as in having sex for tonight. Just saying. | |
