I think its talking about a break up. But I do like the idea that he's second thinking about her, because of her new friends. But what I feel is this part So what did you expect When you've got me cornered here like this Where I can feel your breath I don't want reminders that I can't leave When I'm last to know when you leave Oh, I want this, the closure you keep Behind locked doors and closed eyes Is kind of like, okay I get it, he was never told that she was talking to her new friends of leaving him, so he was last to know, and the more she reminds him that he doesn't want to be with him, its just reminding him of how he can't stop thinking about her as is, and he won't get the closure to their relationship because she never tells him and answers his questions to why she broke up with him. This part: Girl you keep on talking Your hands on my face I feel you start breathing Your words are replaced by The things I don't mean And the feeling that leaves Me holding here But I don't know what you expect from me When it's this hard to breathe That he wants to maybe work things out with her, but then she denies him, and that he says some mean things. And she points them out, but he's trying to explain that hey, everything is all at once its hard to even "breathe" To justify the chorus: And I'll be fine, I'm sure you're justified I can't believe my conscience told me that we'd be alright So roll your eyes, like you need to one more time Take your time away I'm wide awake all night Alright That he's done, he gives up, and that he wants her to know fine whatever, I'll be okay without you. And he had some hope that everything would turn up okay. But she's too into herself and just expected him to keep fighting for her, so while she goes off with her new friends, he's wide awake all night. :3 thats what I got from it x3 |
