Lou Reed – Sad Song Lyrics 13 years ago
I agree with def on this. He saying he thought she was a Queen, and treated her like a Queen. An she wasn't worth it. She wasn't as regal and royal as she let on. I think with the line about breaking both her arms he is saying someone else would not have been as nice as he was. He still cares even after how bad she was to him, but now he is done. He is tired of wasting his time thinking of her and what could have been. This was also a velvet underground song, and the lyrics are a lil different in that version.

Livin' on borrowed time
i'm in love w/ mary queen of scots
fourteen hundred ninety three
and everythings like it should be
i'm gonna stop wasting my time
henry the fifth would have broken my heart
sad song sad song

and things just like they ought to be
primrose and kilts

forget me not my queen of scots
