I have had problems with depression my whole life so I know how you feel even if I don't know what you're going through. Just remember that nothing is permanent and keep your head up. Take up running or weight lifting, both activities are proven to battle depression without touching any medications. |

I find your interpretation to be quite spot on and ry well thought out. I am an avid tool fan, but had never heard this song until about a year ago (sadly) The first time I heard it I was drunk and had just had a particulary vicious fight with my wife. Our relationship was very emotionally and sometimes (as I'm embarrassed to admit) physically abusive. The lyrics and the music of this song literally spoke to me. They matched perfectly everything that I was feeling. I'm not an emotional person, but i cried, hard. The ending lines still give me chills, because my relationship could very well have come to that. The emotion in his voice just kills me. Great job man, you got it nailed. |
