| Thank you so much. You are a hero. This has been haunting me for years. All of your suggestion feel like a much better fit and add so much more meaning to the song. I've wanted to cover this for years with, but I couldn't without doing the lyrics justice! I'm not even sure if these are exactly the lyrics he intended, but at this point, I feel a good sense of closure here, now that there aren't any more (???) lines. | |

As lovely as this song is, I'm almost hitting the point of utter frustration trying to work out the lyrics! You've done a great job so far, but here's a couple of things I had noted in my own version of the lyrics: 1st Line sounds more like: Caught in the town where I fell asleep. (but I feel both versions of this first line still fit with the theme of the song) First (?) line sounds a bit like: Let me sleep, until the tomb. (but I have no idea what this could mean within the context of the song) The massive unkown verse: I don't agree with "make me". It sounds more like "then he". I can also spot the words "shining bright" and right after that something ending in "motion" (emotion, in motion?). Right after that, "hold still", and I think the last word in that verse is "there". Well, we tried. |
