I like the way you interpreted the song better than the way I did. Maybe I'm just more jaded. I felt exactly the same way you did until the last verse "may you return to love one day, well i hope and i pray, you get what you gave."- I took it to be he was hoping for karma. like one day she'd be vulnerable and love someone, and what she did to him would happen to her. kind of emphasizing the bitterness he mentioned above. lol but like i said, I hope you're right because my interpretation is slightly more depressing. |
