I have read the horror story from Poe, and honestly, I don't think that it gives such a good explanation of the meaning of this wonderful song. And though I love leelee87interpretation I think this song is inspired by Jean Racine's drama going by the name... Berenice. Long story short, at the end Berenice and Antiochus leave Rome, very sad, wanting to die, but living to remember their sadness : Berenice there's no release at all That's not worth dying for And it's not for our desires but our desiqn taht we all fall apart ... |
