| Mike Smolen was a huge member of the Dog Fashion Disco street team and frequent contributor to the Dog Fashion Disco message board. On Sep. 30, 2003, he made a post that basically said, "I am going to shoot myself with a shotgun." A few hours later he was discovered and brought to OHSU, where he ultimately died.
