although i do agree with the pregnancy thing i just think you could also apply parts of it to a wider theme |

the way i see this song is that a girl has just left him and he's left sitting in his house and everything around him is the same except the fact that she isnt there, he feels like the world is forcing him to move on because no it feels like it never happened. i think this whole song is basically a break-up song with a bit of a twist |

this song is from the point of view of someone who has just come out of a bad relationship and this is what he wants to say to his ex, basically ' have you seen what you've done to me?' and even thought his friends and his 'better sense' is telling him to move on he just cant. |

i think the whole song is about moving on to someone new after an old relationship ended badly, the line 'are you man enoughto lay here' just means are you brave enough to try again. this song is write at the end of the album and because the rest of the album deals mainly with heartbreak this is a ray of hope at the end, saying that things can get better
(also this is gaslights best song ever!!) |
