your interpretation has haunted me- there is a place near where I live that was going to be a gated community. The crash stopped development but there are all these model homes in disrepair, windows smashed in & wild animals living there, everything is overgrown, graffiti on the garage doors, the granite counter-tops smashed & the copper wiring stolen, it looks like a scene from a post apocalyptic movie. That is what this song reminds me of, and you nailed it. |
