Noah Gundersen – Middle of June Lyrics 13 years ago
I'm pretty sure that the line is, "a tired old tree I sit beneath." This song is a tough one to find the exact meaning of, because Noah, I think, purposefully left room for interpretation. He wrote something that not only he can relate to, but a lot of people can. For example. "Hatred is a sharp knife held by the blade, It's cutting in your palm till you feel no pain." If talking about how hate hurts us more than the people that we, "hate." Another example is the last verse of the song. "Love is a thing that you can't define, though you try with all your might through the riddles and rhymes. It'll fly you like a kite it'll throw you to the ground, But it's the best thing I have found." explains love in the average human (who has found actual love), life. Noah is a brilliant song writer and my respect for him is extremely high.
