"Your picture trends in black and white" I think this is referring to what happens after a break-up, people get rid of old photos etc and so the picture that trends in black and white is the one picture he can't get rid of, the memory of her (a memory that they "painted" together). He's frustrated that he still has feelings for her and can't forget or get over her whereas she obviously isn't feeling the same way, and he wants to show her exactly what that feels like. "I'm right here and I'm waiting" is how he's not going to reach out to her because he's obviously been the person doing all the reaching in his mind, and his point of view is so twisted that if she did eventually make contact with him he'd mistake it as 'fighting' for him. This is supported by the "look before you end it all, for the last time", where he's almost begging her to reach out and try be with him again before cutting him off completely. |

| The song feels like it is loving someone you have long broken up with, someone that you want desperately in your life but they both know its better to stay apart in the belief that if its meant to be something will bring you together; until then, pretend it's not the most painful experience of your life. So much emotion Kevin, thank you for this album. Thank you for you. | |
