The Mountain Goats – Pink and Blue Lyrics 6 years ago
The Oklahoma bombing reference is plain as day, don't know why people are trying to find deeper meaning there.

Pharoah Monche – Simon Says Lyrics 11 years ago
the chorus changes a little each time... these lyrics do not reflect that. :-/

and "sold wood in the hood" isn't a reference to any drug i've ever heard of. pretty sure it's a joke about record sales.

First of all, way to catch some of these, this is a tough song. Second of all, holy shit, isn't Stan and Francine the name of the husband and wife on american dad??!? That would make sense.

That one you don't know (#4) is supposed to be "hit a breaker out the park, he the Great Bambine"

You know, Babe Ruth? The sultan of swat? The colossus of clout? (The colossus of clout?)
THE GREEEAT BAAAMBIIIINOOOO.....

Eyedea & Abilities – Pushing Buttons Lyrics 13 years ago
First of all, on the version these lyrics come from, it's not Abilities he's talking to, it's Slug from Atmosphere. Here's what I'm hearing on the lines with the question marks.

"Now I mend this with a sentence, in a sense it's become a way of life"
"Fighting a million and ten inner battles, sadly straining my neck in the duels"
"Petty mortal, the war won't stop til you hop in a porthole"
"Bury my mind with a friendship bracelet in a tin can"

The part at the end is weird, cause he does the Sage Francis trick of basically combining a bunch of compound words into one big one.

"Silicone, cone of ice cream, creamate, eighteen, english, ishmael, etc."
becomes
"Silicone of ice cream eighteenglishmael, etc."
So have fun trying to get that part nailed down.

Aesop Rock – Grace (feat. Hanni El Khatib) Lyrics 13 years ago
Oh, and in case you're wondering, Davie Hogan is the proper name for Lard Ass from Stephen King's story "The Body", and the subsequent film adaptation "Stand By Me". On the off chance that you're unfamiliar with the tale, Lard Ass makes himself throw up at a pie-eating contest, causing a proverbial "barf-o-rama" of epic proportions, as vengeance on the townsfolk who constantly ridiculed his weight.

Only Aesop could pull off a rap song about eating your vegetables.

Dwarves – Better Be Women Lyrics 13 years ago
It's definitely "threeway dreams". And um...

I said "Why, was she a lesbian?"
But she was BI.

as in bisexual? seemed kinda obvious to me, but nobody else caught it so maybe i've been wrong all these years.
