Probably my second favorite off the new album with the first being "Sun." This song hits home as I feel like I'm in a similar situation... hopeless, unrequited love. I think he's single and sees people in happy, healthy relationships and feels trapped in a "spell" of unrequited love, or a love that once existed between two people but not anymore. He feels the world watching, waiting for him to find a person to settle with. In the second verse, he's talking directly to the person he loves. Perhaps she's in a relationship with someone else and no longer has feelings for him. The third verse makes me think they were once together. He's cherishing all their memories and tells her he'll always love her. She'll never be alone. |
