i see alot of Buddhism references here . "help yourself, help the rest" spiritual teachers talk about this a lot the notion that helping yourself is a way of helping the world. Because when you understand yourself then you understand the world and its meaning and can begin to help others to be aware. Don't let go, just breathe slow So hold on, it will pass Don't give up, don't let go Grey clouds, they'll, they'll break up how many times have terrible things happened in our lives and we just wanted to give up? A break up, a bad grade, a divorce, a lost, a disappointment when something that you thought would happen didn't? Things like this happens everyday. life just isn't fair, but to deal with life on life terms that means, accepting that things will come up, things that will sadden and disappoint us and show up for life anyway? That's the beauty of it, that grey clouds will break, that the pain will past no matter what it is and if you do the work. Rest yourself, rest your head Be still, play dead. Reliving that breakup in your head, visualizing yourself running your boss over a thousand times in your head, worrying and stressing about literally everything especially the past and future is poison to the mind. You are teaching the mind to worry, stress and be in a negative state. You are creating your own misery for yourself. Rest yourself, rest your head Be still, play dead. Sit with your silence. forget all the rest the Buddhist teaches that basically, the quieter you are the more you will hear and i feel like this is where he might of been going with this song. | There were days when i couldn't get out of bed, i couldn't eat, i couldn't stop reliving the past in my head. Everything was HER. It was like i was mourning her death. My thoughts were flooded with memories, but especially regrets. I kept telling myself she would return even though i knew she wouldn't. And as time went by i would live in the good memories in my head and just forget about life because i wanted to stay there....i didn't want to let go. | wow, i can really relate to all of this....well for me this is obviously about a very painful breakup and also william aknowledging his inner demons. Demons that ultimately resulted in the break up- he knows its his fault, that this has happened and though he wishes he could go back and he wishes he could win her back he knows its best that she stays away because he would only let her down again. Through the bad though, there were moments of good times and after losing everything, they atleast have that. The good memories and noone can take that from them. And the silver lining here- him truly wishing her happiness...him wanting her to love again even with his heart broken. | |
