| The Rolling Stones – Honky Tonk Women Lyrics | 13 years ago |
This song is a bit old but for those who don't know, honky tonk is a term for women who have a big nose (a honkey honker) and an accent (pronounce 'talk' as 'tonk'). Now that we have that out of the way, let's get to the meat of the story. The songs fulcrum of meaning lies in the aftermath of a Hawaiian getaway. It inspired the lei-ing (to place a necklace of flowers around another) of a NY lady. The song tells of her reciprocity by sharing about how she also covered him in flowers, "The lady then she covered me with roses" Obviously she was a honkey tonky woman, as she inspired the song. Further, this song reflects satisfaction, evident in the beautiful line, "Alright!" But wait- there's more. There is still a bit left to be desired, given away by the line, "Gimme, gimme" Ya can't always get what you want ; ) Source: I vacation in Hawaii and have a honky tonk aunt : / |

| Lady GaGa – Teeth Lyrics | 13 years ago |
As we all know, Gaga is both asexual and a virgin. This song delves into her fantasy life of dentistry, which pleases her like no genitals can. She imagines herself as a very experienced oral mechanic. The procedure taking place in the song is a routine cleaning, and Gaga slowly grows frustrated with her anxious patient, coaxing him as such: "Don't be scared I've done this before Show me your teeth" Gaga first disses her patients love-parts then, in a fit of hipsteria, ironically begs for sex from said patient: "That shit's is ugly Just want your sex (want your sex)" As a glimpse into the mindset behind her asexuality, Lady Gaga simply explains: "No one's perfect" Simply beautiful. | Willow – Whip My Hair Lyrics | 13 years ago |
Kevin Federline is referring to his pubic hair in this feel-good tune (of course, the music video is kid friendly though). If you've ever seen the original cut, you'll know that a lot of hip gyration was performed, resulting in pube whippage. Source: Jayden Smith and Brit Brit |

| Ke$ha – Tik Tok Lyrics | 13 years ago |
Ke$ha is deeply disturbed by her loud clock. She wakes up feeling great (like P. Diddy) UNTILL she hears the loud ticking of her clock. She needs to leave her house ASAP and not come back for a while, because of how bothersome the noise is. "...grab my glasses, i'm out the door. i'm gonna hit this city before i leave, brush my teeth with a bottle of jack. cuz when i leave for the night i aint coming back. She turns to alcohol to cope with the disturbing noise. She also looks to loud noise-drowning dj's in hopes that her post club ear-ringing will drown the noise of her clock. The ticking even vibrates her whole body, including her heart- "my heart, it pounds". This is a very deep song, not unlike The Tell Tale Heart, but with a clock she has buyers remorse about. Overall a real great tune. Source: I am the "McJagger" she is referring to, so I've been in her room |

| Katy Perry – Wide Awake Lyrics | 13 years ago |
Katy is experiencing the ever familiar burst of energy from the drug caffeine. This is apparent in the line, "I'm wide awake". She really likes the feeling caffeine gives her, and doesn't want the high to end- "I am trying to hold on". She really doesn't want to drop the cup. She is also exploring the idea of admiring her barista, as she loves the way he brews. "You made it so sweet". This is a morning coffee run, of course. Perry, like all of us, closes her eyes as she sleeps. The coffee drink opens her eyes both literally and figuratively, as she tells the listener in the line, "But I'm not blind anymore". Because you're blind when you sleep! (Eyes closed). Hope this helps! :) Source: I am Katy's barista |
