When people get in the way of relationships, family, friends and you're like fuck off I wanna have fun! That's what this song reminds me of. |

They know they're meant to be together, and she's reminding him that she truly loves him. She'll stay with him through thick and thin, which is what most want form a partner. |

You're young, you make mistakes, you stuff up. And so his way of dealing with it, is sticking your two fingers up to yesterday, forgetting about it and smoking and then moving on. |

Love this song so much. So beautiful. Makes me cry.
I think it's when you know so much is wrong and fucked up about your life and there's so much you want to change, all these little things and some big things but you have no idea where to begin and so all you want to do is just drive or ride and keep moving.
My interpretation anyway. |

I'm probably wrong but I think it's talking about love not being an exchange that can be sealed through a "handshake".
I love when he says "and you'll never find love in an open hand." I personally don't think love just comes around. You have to work for love. That doesn't mean it should be a labour but you won't just find love in a open hands and shake hands and get it. It doesn't work like that.
Just my thoughts :) |

I LOVE THIS SONG :)
I think it sums up that uncertainty that young people have at some point in their lives so well. I vividly remember turning fifteen and thinking "FUCK!!" and realising that life gets serious and things are changing. And that necessairly isn't for the worst. But there's a point I think that we all realise that life is moving on and we have to make decisions. |

I think there's something very empowering and fuck you about this song. Perhaps it's jsut me but the way in which she's stating everything about herself to someone seems so 'fuck you' and the way she goes 'There's nothing you can gain, 'cause I use mouthwash...' resonates with me. Maybe it's not necessarily a breakup but a friendship breakup and one where this person felt so insecure but now is starting to realise she's happy with her life. |
