I first found out about this song when I sang it with my choir. Ruth Moody wrote it after being at a folk festival where everyone joined in at the end and sang a song together. One Voice is my favorite all-time song; it puts that feeling of happiness created by having a loving friend or community into words, and expresses that human desire to belong and share experiences and even hurts with others. Just amazing. |
