| Insomnium – Only One Who Waits Lyrics | 13 years ago |
| The only person you can truly know, understand, and trust is yourself. We come into this world alone and we exit alone. In the time we are here we attempt to be a part of something and hide the fact that we are alone. Humans have this need to be a part of something, but naturally we are lonely. | |
| Rage Against the Machine – Take The Power Back Lyrics | 13 years ago |
| This is about the people taking the power back from the government and becoming a truly democratic society. | |
| Rage Against the Machine – Mic Check Lyrics | 13 years ago |
|
At the end of the song, Zack says the following twice "With this mic device I spit nonfiction Who got tha power This be my question Tha mass of tha few in this torn nation? Tha priest tha book or tha congregation? Tha politricks who rob and hold down your zone? Or those who give tha thieves tha key to their homes? Tha pig who's free to murder one Shucklak Or survivors who make a move and murder one back?" In this verse, he questions who has the power in the United States. Is it the masses, politicians, the President, cops? The last 2 lines refer to a man who murdered a cop for police brutality. The cop is referred to as a pig and the man a survivor. Cops have the power to assault people however when someone murders one they become terrorists. |

| Metallica – Eye of the Beholder Lyrics | 13 years ago |
| This song questions the so-called rights and freedoms that we supposedly have. | |
| Disturbed – Down with the Sickness Lyrics | 13 years ago |
| David has said that the mother in this song represents society and he is rebelling against society's pressure to conform and discourage individuality. | |
| Metallica – Disposable Heroes Lyrics | 13 years ago |
| This song isn't as much anti-war as it is a commentary on the way in which war is waged. Metallica is saying that soldiers are treated like disposable heroes, not important to the grand scheme of things, and just pawns in the bigger picture. | |
| Firewind – The Ark Of Lies Lyrics | 13 years ago |
| This message is pretty straightforward. It is about how religion is the ark of lies. Firewind calls religious people "blind leading the blind", "confused and delusional", and "naive". I happen to agree with all of those statements. | |
| Firewind – Burn In Hell Lyrics | 13 years ago |
| Hitler fought in the name of the Christian God. He wanted everyone on earth to be Christian as he was a devout Christian himself. Firewind is most likely and atheist band based on their lyrics for "Ark of Lies" | |
| Firewind – Allegiance Lyrics | 13 years ago |
| I think this is about being forced to fight in a war that you don't agree with. An example that comes to mind is the Vietnam War. Because of the draft many people were forced to fight when they felt the war was wrong. Many people in history have forced people to fight for them and their ideals regardless of the people's viewpoints. Firewind has written lyrics about Hitler before (Burn in Hell) so this could have to do with him. | |
| All That Remains – Indictment Lyrics | 13 years ago |
| Based on these lyrics it is hard to believe any of the members of the band are Christian. The Christian God is very violent and his followers are very bigoted. The Crusades and the Inquisition are great examples of Christian violence. This song not only speaks about Christianity, but of other religions such as Islam which use violence. They are basically saying that people committing violence for any religion is wrong. | |
