The write it a hundred times part is like when kids get punished and have to write lines out 100 times on the blackboard (like Bart in the opening credits of The Simpsons) |

| Tool – Schism Lyrics

It's about War/forking/splitting, of any type; lovers separating, countries splitting up, religious sects splintering. The splits cause anger and hatred. The song is about a desire to put the pieces back together to stop the conflict and negativity, but the two pieces of the jigsaw no longer fit because they have evolved into different shapes and have been tainted. This frustrates. |

| Tool – The Patient Lyrics

Vampires are a metaphor for evil/The-Devil/temptation. The song is about patience in riding out temptation or things that sap you; wait it out to get your reward. Patience here is a double meaning, where you are the patient, the one who is sick like a hospitalised man. But the patient also has to be patient in the sense of enduring hardship with time and resolve. |

| A Perfect Circle – The Nurse Who Loved Me (Failure cover) Lyrics

Song is about a mental or delusional patient. He thinks the nurse is not actually a nurse, but a girl who's in love with him. But actually, she's just a nurse that is treating other guys in the ward. Giving the patient his medication etc. Rugs topography, him holding her down / pouncing on her. Evidence she's the one face down is supported by the apples falling from her eyes. |
