back when Nickelback had some decently good jams, including this one. I think it's about getting finally kicking another to the curb, bad relationship and the person could be dealing with an addiction of some sort. *they won't make no statues of you" probably an arrogant person too. hence the song title, Hangnail. A metaphor for the lyrics. great title. What do we all do with a Hangnail? Pull that pesky sucker out and discard it :D |

i think the song is about believing again in yourself and opening your heart to trust in what you're after. no fear. it's def. about overcoming some kind of internal struggle, perhaps drug addiction. |
