Jim Morrison – Ghost Song Lyrics 12 years ago
It's the introduction to the album "An American Prayer" which is a comforting montage about growing up in America.
The final stanza "Indians Scattered on dawns highway...." recalls a favorite story of Morrisons' about witnessing the aftermath of a car accident involving "Indians" or agricultural workers (pickers) who had crashed and died on a desert highway in Arizona. Recall the song "Peace Frog" from the album, Morrison Hotel: the line "Indians scattered on dawn's highway bleeding/Ghosts crowd the young child's fragile eggshell mind" originates from his poem, "Newborn Awakening". He fancied himself a Shaman who's skills were not earned but bestowed upon him by the ghosts of the dead Indians. He had said that he was chosen but this is pure fancy. About being a Shaman....he certainly volunteered. However, the reality of this is purely a romantic notion.

The Velvet Underground – Heroin Lyrics 13 years ago
fool, it's not "like"..... Lou is Lou because he's been there....
he's pure gold because he's real, he's real.....
he's so real because he's not fakin it.....
we're not just making this stuff up.....
real art just doesn't just happen because somebody says it

I'm not suggesting that you should go there too,
I'm suggesting that you should listen, digg....
