The Crüxshadows – Children In Black Lyrics 13 years ago
These lyrics are wildly incorrect, despite the artist having had official lyrics available for years. I tried to submit corrected ones but the website never posted them.

Anyway, this is a cautionary tale to parents about letting their kids get involved in gothic culture. It expresses regret on the part of someone whose child turned out to be a "freak lost lonely in the night" and who doesn't want other parents to "be sorry". There are references to elements of the gothic subculture, including "palled cheeks" (facepaint).

The song talks about how christian kids (like fish within the net) get caught by lthe "Line to feed" and end up getting involved in forbidden things like sex "Clandestine fingers warder/Symbiotic fed explosion) and saying unchristian things (it must be the devil)

Also, the way the song is structured says that the conflict isn't stopped. The song opens with a spoken word poem which ends with "snatched away in the attempt" (wish suggest someone was caught in the act of some kind of ritual). This is followed by the parent's grief (which is sung) and then a continuation of the spoken word poem/ritual followed by an anguished series of "you may be sorry" by the parent.
