Well, Goulding says that the song is about her fear of the dark, and I think that makes sense. But I just wanted to say that I love her for letting us space to think about the songs and have our own opinion about it. Her songs help me to dream and especially with "Lights" I went through a very hard time of my life. Ellie is my favourite singer and I think she's a genius. It sounds very.. strange, but without Ellie I could be dead. For me, the song means that there's a person that helps her through a hard time. Not love.. Friendship. Love the acoustic version! |
