As a man and writer who has gone through losing a woman dear to me a few months ago to cancer... this song definitely resonates with me... so much that I bought it this morning. The song is definitely about the loss of a woman, and the man is unable to forget or move on. His relationship with her was such that he sees her in everything he sees and feels.. he cannot rest, he cannot turn the lights out on his love for her... as much as he wants to. He loves her too much to push her memory aside. Its about not being able to let go... to turn that light out on her memory. But her loss hurts him so much... over and over again. |
