I coud go line by line to tell you exactly what this song means, but it is pretty simple to me. So many people hide behind masks of fake personalitites, but it is false. All of it is false, and not to be believed. And if you arent careful, you wont realize that life is all a masquerade to a point, so welcome to it and you are living it. Also, it is saying that you arent to be ashamed knowing that you are your true self, your beliefs, so stand up for them and stand strong. |

I never TRULY understood the meaning of this sung until i went to my first rock concert, which was my first concert ever. I was totally struck by everyones fist in the air, all with one mind, all one with the music. It was incredible, and it is an experience i will never forget. This song, taken literally, protrays everything in my mind that night. Complete unity and rebellion through music, everyone screaming the words and putting their fists in the air, more then 10,000 of them up to the sky that night.
