It's absolutely about an old person, alone in a home, a place that looks wonderfull, but you know you will die there. It's all about the money they want to make because of you, he doesn't want to fit in, he hates this place, he doesn't want help from what is here among us, not the nurses, no-one... In the end, when Mike screams, it's a cry to someone above, a cry to release him from all this. The only help he wants is the help to die... With Faith No More it's known that Mike comes in a lot of places and searches for places and people, he observes these places, situations and people, and has the art within to create wonderfull lyrics telling the story of what he observes. Next to that he has the band that can create the perfect atmosphere for what he wants to say. I absolutely believe that this song is about someone who uses drugs... The song ends with a certain high, I think the guy sits by a wall completely wasted from the party, high on drugs, enjoying, but then... Don't let me die with that silly look in my eyes... I've seen FTM 14 times, and every time they hit me hard, for me, the best band ever. |
