| I think that this is about James breaking up with the singer. She loves him more, he fell out of love, but still does love her as a person. They want to stay friends because they enjoy each other, but it still breaks her heart because it will never be the same. When she says, "I thought I knew you well", she thought that she could trust that he was going to stay with her. When she says, "I could tell that you weren't well", she could tell something wasn't right anymore, and that he was unhappy. Basically, this perfectly describes my last breakup. | |
