I understand the anger in this song as it's in response to Part1..but does anyone else find it kind of selfish that this person wants their friend alive just because they feel they need him? It seems kind of selfish that someone wants you to be alive and miserable because they can't or don't want to live without you. You just never really know what someone is going through. |

Why are there so many different interpretations for this song? Some say it's about M.Shadow's cousin that actually did kill himself and others claim the suicide note was from Justin Sane. Does anyone have any links where the band officially talks about it in an interview or something? Regardless, the song is clearly about someone contemplating suicide. The only odd part is it's titled "I won't see you tonight". It doesn't sound like this person will see you any other night either. "No more breath inside" and "Essence left my body tonight" doesn't sound like it was an attempt. |

It sounds like he is in a dark place for whatever reason that might not have anything to do with her. A fe w of these lyrics are about his "sins". "my heart is too dark", and "I never claimed to be a saint". He then says "I can't destory what isn't there" and "I don't deserve to have you". Those are classic lines from someone who is pushing someone away. He's pushing her away. He's in a dark place and she was his "light" and he's just getting deeper into his darkness or depression and doesn't feel he deserves her or is good enough for her. He can't hurt her because he still feels something for her even if it is just friendship. It is easy to hurt a stranger you don't care about. He wishes he could hurt her to push her away more but he can't. Then when she finally ran away, he turned it around on her saying she doesn't care enough. He wanted her to fight for him and she didn't. He still feels something for who she used to be which are in the letters he still cherishes. They might be the nicest letters he's ever received but he just doesn't feel he deserves them. " You sold me out to save yourself' and "Bury your secrets in my skin". It sounds like he confided some secrets in her and she spilled them to someone which put him deeper into his dark place. It's very hard to find someone that you can trust completely with your secrets. It sounds like she buried some secrets in him and he never told anyone but she told his and claims to "care" about him. He doesn't want to hear that she cares because she hurt him so much and it just doesn't matter anymore if she does. |
