Your interpretation really hit me hard. Much like yourself, unlike others I never felt this dream was about death. I interpreted it as him singing about him wanting her to be more open. That he wanted her "Flowers" <-openess. When I read your comment about it pertaining to marriage it made so much sense and really sunk in. I thought about how me and my boyfriend were talking about seeing us married to eachother in the distant future. How very recently he had what I saw as a very "Fatherly" moment when he was looking for the dog. He said "Are you okay? You know, you make us worry about you" instead of just getting upset about the dog running off. Point in case your interpretatio-tying the meaning to marriage brought me to tears in a good way. Thank you. I now have a completely different view on this song. <3 |
