For me it sounds very much like the point of view of a literal vampire- "magic begins with blood" -their supernatural powers stem from drinking blood "But I have passed the tombs of kings"- an immortal speaking of his vast timespan on the earth "Your eyes Will not settle, a hunger. You'd be happier in your grave." -speaking of the onset of the insatiable bloodlust "I see a semi-circle of teeth." -just sounds very vamp-ish to me Maybe it's vampires, seem to be popular these days, who knows. |
