I love how passionate and angry the tone and mood is in this song. It really makes me love the song more, it shows how real the lyrics can get. ^______^ |

I think it's saying she wants to start over and change for the better, but in the end, she would never change and always keeps her habit of cheating because she finds it fulfilling and such :o |

My best guy friend dedicated this song to me and reading the previous comments worry me D: but this is what I thought: A skinny girl (me) please stay with him (my best friend) for a year because we never had a relationship/friendship lasting a year because of conflict and pain but please try to erase all the hurtful memories. We both self-harmed so we wanted to forget everything hence the salt |

| The Maine – Whoever She Is Lyrics | 13 years ago |

When I first heard this song, I thought it was more about a guy having a bad day and to make it through the bad day, he thinks of a girl that makes him the happiest. Then I started to pay attention more to the lyrics and I thought it was about a guy who barely passes life by but has a girl he loves with all his life but the girl thinks she doesn't deserve him or she thinks she has too much insecuries. The guy will always tell her, "She could be anything, whoever she is, YOU don't have to worry" because there is no comparison. Now reading these comments, I can also see how this can be in ties with life because no matter what "whoever she is" life goes on and there is no need for worry. |
