My bad punctuation may be misleading. When I wrote: "you need to give yourself a reality check from time to time, to think about those small things you get caught up in and forget about the bigger picture" I meant that you forget about the bigger picture in day to day life, not during the meditation, that is supposed to let you remember these goals and ideas. |

"To learn the value of, "Yo, fuck the words just ride the beat."" - I think it's an advice not to overthink some things. Sometimes you just need to let things unravel without your constant analysis. "To meditate upon the lesser things like hair and nails." - Meditating upon not necessarily means that someone is interested in those things. I always thought this line means you need to give yourself a reality check from time to time, to think about those small things you get caught up in and forget about the bigger picture and goals in your life that surely aren't about hair and nails. The whole "get got" routine I interpret as a promise that anyone with agenda based on hatred towards a group of people puts himself in place where he becomes a part of a group targeted by other hatred-run mob. Although it may be seen as many other things. |
