Franz Ferdinand – Take Me Out Lyrics 13 years ago
The speaker is close enough to see the person of interest, but also knows that he won't be leaving with that person. It seems as if the other person may have interest in the speaker as well, but any little thing could change those feelings hence the lines-- "don't move, tide is low." Ultimately though, the speaker knows he won't be able to be w/ that person.

Wiz Khalifa – Fly Solo Lyrics 13 years ago
He's realizing what it's like to be alone again. He recognizes that it hurts to be without the other person, but he also realizes that no one really cares about his pain hence the line: "'Cause sometimes I feels like I'm the only one there
I guess nobody cares, hey"

At the same time, it seems as if he's ok with being apart from the other person for the time being. They could wait it out and see what happens, but if things don't pan out, he'll be "in the sky..."

Herbie Hancock – Stitched Up (feat. John Mayer) Lyrics 13 years ago
In the beginning of the song, it seems as if he doesn't want to be in a relationship, as he says, "Don't wanna be stitched up." However, as the song progresses, it seems that he doesn't want to miss the opportunity to be with this woman of interest because he may always look back to her as being the ideal woman. The chorus then changes to say he is "stitched up." And by the closing of the song, he's begging to be stitched up. He's still conflicted, but insists that he's down to be trapped in with her.

Incubus – The Warmth Lyrics 13 years ago
We've all had those experiences that make us question the morals of those around us. If you have ever wondered, "How could someone be so hurtful/manipulative/selfish?"-- then you can relate to the emotion of the lyrics.

However, there is reassurance that "not everyone is that fucked up

The Killers – For Reasons Unknown Lyrics 13 years ago
I agree with some others here that the song doesn't seem to be a breakup song, but rather a song of warning. The speaker appears to care about the other person, but they want the other party to know they aren't the same as they once were-- "I look a little bit older, I look a little bit colder."

Therefore, things have happened from one point in time to another which have changed the speaker's point of view on love/relationships/etc., but why that viewpoint is different? Unknown.

The Killers – Change Your Mind Lyrics 13 years ago
The speaker is finding that they don't recognize themselves anymore due to the growing feelings they have for another person. The speaker wants to know if the feeling is shared by the other party; and if the feeling isn't mutual, they want to know if they have a chance to be with that person.

It seems as if the speaker knows their feelings are stronger as the tone seems to progressively get more sarcastic as the song goes on--

"Why aren't you shaking
Step back in time
Graciously taking
Oh, you're too kind."

It's almost as if the the speaker is saying that the other party is a taker. A taker meaning that the other person has a solid grasp on the feelings of the speaker.

The Rolling Stones – Far Away Eyes Lyrics 13 years ago
Far away eyes could mean that the woman is distracted enough by other things that she doesn't have long term goals in mind in reference to men. She has other things happening in her life which may contribute to her "bleary" disposition, therefore, taking her full focus off of a man who'd rather not have her full focus in the first place hence the line:

"Find a girl with far away eyes..."
