This is such a great song. It's basically saying that you shouldn't worry about your troubles too much or whats to come in the future because everything will turn out the way its supposed to. When your young, like me, you tend to think about what direction to take, why that relationship didn't work out and why she broke your heart, or what career path will I be on? So many unanswered questions dwell in your mind. This song is basically saying 1. We all go through this, and we will end up the way we were supposed to end up and 2. We will be looking back one day at everything we've been through and be happy it all happened, because its ultimately how you got to where you are today. Great song by Paisley, keep them coming! |

I love this song. I really like when Mayer says: "I still wish you fought me 'til my dying day Don't let me get away Cause I can't wait to figure out what's wrong with me So I can say this is the way that I used to be" I am going through a break up right now...a pretty bad one. We were together for 2 1/2 years, and I still don't know why it didn't work out, ya know? This part of the song is about that. Its seeing a relationship end, and they give you no reason at all as to why it ended. What John is saying here is that without a valid reason for a relationship ending, it drives you nuts, because then you can't look back and have a concrete reason as to why it ended. You then start thinking its something to do with you, even though they said it wasn't- but who knows for sure because they didn't tell you. This, then, makes it extremely hard to come up with an answer to make yourself better, because you don't know what happened or what you did wrong. When he says: "And it stings when it nobody's fault Cause there's nothing to blame At the drop of your name, it's only the air you took And the breath you left" This is the same kind of idea as before, only now it involves both people. It sucks when a relationship just ends for no huge reason, especially when love was really there. It sucks when theres nothing to blame it on, because then you start wondering things and you can't make sense of why it happened. John Mayer is my favorite artist, great song. |
