To the general comment: I completely agree. It really is a refreshing, light-hearted take on spirituality. You don't have to be a bible beater to love God. I don't necessarily think you have to be in church every time the doors are open or even go at all to love God. You don't even have to pray. "I love my God, God made love." They obviously believe in God and the fact that we're forgiven of our sins. "I don't wanna pray to my maker I just wanna be feelin' free Not like in a book, or the leaves of trees that shook From a word that means only not a thing Pardon god and mom, what I'm sayin' isn't fair" I think the above stanza is talking about the desire to love God freely without being persecuted by the rules of the "book" or bible. |
