| i just saw him live and he said that early in his career he missed a show his manager set up for him because he was afraid of flying. he called his manager 10 mins before his flight and his manager got all pissed off that he wasnt going. so he decided to write a song so that his manager and everyone else would like him. this is the song he wrote. that being said, to me this is a song about love and loss. hope and fear. its a whimsical expression of the human condition. you can love what you have so much, and fear losing it so much, that you lose out on other things that could be wonderful, because you are too fearful and stuck in your ways to take a risk. every song means something different to each person who hears it. what can I say? its art. | |
