I think the song is about human mankind industrializing, destroying nature just for the need to reach pefection and happiness in life. Land has been roded and pluged. The earth is ready for "sellout". And why all this? To become rich ("catch a passing dime") and increase human's wealth. Industrialization shall make us worry no more, celebrate life. All the things we feared will be gone. If only the world would be so perfect. |
