A man and a woman have gone through some sort of loss, and a story it told... It's about people that have stopped seeing/feeling the light in their lives (the things they know are true), and have subsequently given into the darkness and stopped living (they don't think they can recover after losing so much); The man feels only the emptiness he has inside and stared into the night sky, despite the fact that his wife is there stroking his hair, and the priest gives into the darkness (evil), despite the fact that he also saw a lot of light when he had his faith. The little boy asks "what if I lost all I had?" and the stranger, who's "confused", shows us that if you keep seeing the beauty around you (such as a beautiful girl with "glorious curls"), then life can go on despite everything else. "But you and I now We can be alright Just hold on to what we know is true You and I now Though it's cold inside Feel the tide turning" If you hold on to the wonderful things in life, then the tide will turn; the coldness you feel inside will fade away and you'll be alright! |
