General Overview: I think this story (ba ddum chh) revolves around a dysfunctional relationship. The woman is head over heels in love with the man, and does everything possible to make him happy, but the man takes her granted. He leaves her alone in her bed as he is out doing God knows what, and doesn’t realize how much he’s hurting her. But she’s just too in love to leave. Eventually he realizes what he’s doing and begins to start anew, I think it’s the contrasting opposite to “Losing My Mind” There are some inclinations that he knows what he’s doing and realizes she’s not going to leave (Do you mean all the things you are?/Are you pleased with the way things are?) She goes out and pretends that everything is fine with the relationship, even though she’s broken on the inside and her boyfriend is the only one that knows. (Wear that dress to protect this scar, that only I have seen) But even with this knowledge of continuing their dysfunctional relationship, breaking her ever more. And the chorus is his conscience telling him to stop what he’s doing and to realize that she’s done so much for him and he’s done so little for her and is hurting her. And he is making “the story of a broken heart come true” Eventually, as she’s sleeping I guess, he finally realizes he’s messed up and needs to fix things. He confronts her about his misdoings and naturally she listens. He’s confused by being in love with her, (presumably he wasn’t before) and teeters between love and screwing her over. (Days are stung by too much sun, I think that you may be the one) He decides that they should talk it out; she will tell him all her pain and he will tell her how he feels (I will listen to your pain, if you listen to me) One can assume she eventually forgives him and they move on with their relationship, woo! |

My general interpretation is that he meets this woman and they get acquainted and he falls in love with her far quicker than in a usual relationship. But she soon does something unspeakable (leaving him, cheating on him, flirting with multiple men, take your pick) and he realizes that in the time he was with her, he didn't know her at all. Love had blinded him. He probably was a player but changed his ways for her, and becomes angry when it turns that she’s exactly the same. Minus the love. He's so caught up in his hurt and in the situation that he's losing his mind. However, he's still in love with her and waits for her to come around, even though she shows that she doesn't love him at all. Maybe she was in it for the sex. He's so wrapped around her finger and she uses it to her greatest possible advantage. But eventually he realizes that he is stronger than what he makes himself out to be, and sees this beautiful woman for who she really is; a heartbreaker. He returns, but not for her lust, instead to prove that he is stronger than a lovesick Jackass |
