My interpretation is that this is about a guy and his girl and they want to be together, but everyone says they will never work as a couple. They decide to run away to someplace that will accept them, and to never look back at the past life that wants to keep them apart. It's like my fiance and I, people try to keep us apart, but nothing will stop us from being together. |

This song fits my love situation right now. There's this guy that lives far away from me, and we both love each other, but he's 18 and I'm 17, so we can't be together legally. We then decided to be close friends. I later got my current boyfriend, but I can't stop thinking about my friend. I saved the messages he sent me on Facebook, even the one where he confessed he loved me, and he helps me with the problems i go through everyday. The lyrics "I still hold on to the letters you returned' and 'you help me live and learn' fit perfectly with my love life. |

I think it's basically a 'I love you and despise you' song. It gives me this story: A person is in a relationship with a person, but the second person is an evil human being. And the first person tries to get rid of that darkness, but the second person keeps doing this one thing that prevents the darkness to be removed. |
