She wants him to save her from falling for him again by doing something that would make her hate him but he can never so anything wrong in her eyes and she loves him. "Are you lonely? Do you hold back? Will the road ahead keep you on track? I know you made what real for but I can't help to die just a little bit more" She wonders if the reason why he won't show her that he loves her is because he is nervous and is 'holding back.' | Actually, this song was NOT written as a copy of My Goodbye. Juliet Simms originally wrote this song after she found out her boyfriend had been cheating on her in the next room while on tour. She was heartbroken and wrote what she had been feeling in the other room and how hurt she was. She showed it to her producers and they didn't feel that it was upbeat enough...they wanted Automatic Loveletter to create a more upbeat tune. She worked for four/five days in her room to recreate a song (My Goodbye) in order for it to be put on the album. They let that pass since it was more upbeat. Since then she has been put on a different record label who let her use her original song Black Ink Revenge on their new album The Kids Will Take Their Monsters On. It has nothing to do with copying My Goodbye... | |

| I think this song is talking about how Juliet wants to "trade places" with her crush's girlfriend. She wants him to trust her with his secrets and she wants him to know that she will always be there for him for him to hug and confide in. I think near the middle of the song she starts to say that she's done trying and she is going to try to move on. She has "had enough" of watching the one she loves love someone else. For some reason she keeps believing that she will love him and she doesn't want to love him but she doesn't want to hate him, either. She wants to be able to act like it's nothing when he tells her that he doesn't love her back but at the same time she doesn't want to hate him, she just wants to like him as a friend. | |
